Starting Well: First Years in Ministry

Starting Well: First Years in Ministry
Toronto School of Theology
June 11-14, 2012

The first years of ministry are a critical timewhen pastoral identity and understanding of ministry are solidified.

Starting Well offers new ministers opportunities to reflect on their context and practice of ministry in an affirming environment.

Come and participate in small and large group discussions and seminars, personal reflection, worship and case studies prepared by participants from their current ministries.

Over a 3-year cycle, a variety of topics are addressed relating to clergy well-being, identity and effective ministry.

The 2012 event is open to those ordained or commissioned in the last 3 years and to those who participated in Starting Well for the first time in 2010 and 2011. This program can also be valuable for Designated Lay Ministers and those studying theology in community-based education programs.  The program’s modular format makes entry possible in any year of the 3-year cycle.
