Drawing from a Deeper Well

Monday Mornings in the Fall of 2013 and Winter-Spring of 2014
9:30 am – Noon at Emmanuel College

As caregivers in ministry settings, others come to us for pastoral, spiritual and emotional support. When the needs of others appear endless it may be difficult for ministry personnel to take time for SPIRITUAL PRACTICES to replenish our spiritual well. This monthly spiritual direction and support group is a guided opportunity to explore a variety of themes and practices as they impact our professional and personal lives. Sessions will include spiritual practices and discussion in large and small groups. A safe space is created for participants to bring their honest reflections, experiences and questions to the group.
Anne Simmonds (annesimmonds.ca) is adjunct faculty at Emmanuel College where she teaches courses on Prayer and Death, Dying and Grieving. She is a gifted retreat and workshop facilitator, spiritual director and pastoral counselor with specific training in practices for balance and healing of body, mind and spirit. Formerly minister of pastoral care at Rosedale United Church, Anne brings her own personal spiritual practice and experience of ministry to this program.
