2018 Fall - 2019 Winter Registration Instructions - Conjoint Graduate Students

Only students with a zero balance are eligible to register for the 2018-2019 academic year.

 

 

REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS 

1.      Refer to the Toronto School of Theology (TST) website for course descriptions and syllabi.

2.      Only 5000-6000 level courses apply to graduate students.

3.      Consult with your supervisor or supervisory committee about your course selection.

4.      Course registration for 2018 Fall and 2019 Winter begins July 24, 2018. Students are advised to enroll for the full academic year to ensure there are no course cancellations. Students applying to OSAP MUST register for the full academic year for OSAP assessment.

5.      Go to ACORN (UofT’s student information system) and login.

a.       Review your contact information to ensure it is up-to-date.

b.      Ensure that your UTORmail address is listed.

c.       ENROLL in courses (ACORN HELP).

d.      The following courses must be manually entered by the EM Registrar:

                                                              i.      Letter of Permission (form must be submitted by August 31)

                                                            ii.      Reading and Research course (form must be submitted by August 31)

6.      Submit, if applicable, the following TST PDF-fillable form to the EM Registrar by August 3:

a.       Extension to Complete Comprehensive Examinations (ThD)

b.      Leave of Absence

c.       Program Extension (ThM/ThD)

d.      Program Extension (conjoint PhD)

e.       Thesis Prospectus General Exam & Thesis Proposal Extension (conjoint PhD)

7.      Pay your 2018 Fall fees before August 22, 2018. (Please refer to the tuition fee deferral section, if applicable.)

All fees and charges posted to your student account are deemed payable. If not paid in full, any outstanding account balance is subject to a monthly service charge of 1.5% per month compounded (19.56% per annum). Outstanding charges on your account from prior sessions are subject to a service charge as of the 15th of every month until paid in full.

Students with outstanding accounts may not receive official transcripts and normally may not re-register at the University until these accounts are paid.

2018 Fall - 2019 Winter Refund Schedule

 

TUITION FEE DEFERRAL FOR 2018 FALL AND 2019 WINTER

A student who has been assessed by OSAP as receiving financial aid for the coming school year may defer fees by clicking the “OSAP/Govt/Grad Deferral” button on ACORN in the “Financial Account” section. Please refer to "Paying with OSAP Funds" for more details.

A student may be eligible to register without paying the Minimum Payment to Register amount on the student’s ACORN invoice (tuition fee deferral) if:

1.       The student has paid outstanding fees from the previous sessions and

2.       The student has an approved scholarship or research fellowship that EXCEEDS the Minimum Payment to Register amount on the student’s ACORN invoice.

3.       The scholarship or award must be offered by Emmanuel College or the University of Toronto.

4.       The student has submitted a Request to Register without Payment (link forthcoming) form to the EM College Registrar no later than August 31, 2018.

A student's registration is not complete until he or she has paid tuition and incidental fees, or has made appropriate arrangements to pay. Students who defer fee payment or whose payment is deferred pending receipt of OSAP or other awards, acknowledge that they continue to be responsible for payment of all charges, including any service charges that may be assessed.  For details visit the UofT Student Accounts website.
