Basic Degree Non-Credit Study

Persons wishing to audit an Emmanuel basic degree course must have the permission of the instructor.

Courses that are audited will under no circumstance be assigned a grade nor will they be considered for credit. Instructors will not mark written work for auditors. Auditors may participate in class exercises and discussions at the discretion of the instructor.

 

Advanced Degree Non-Credit Study

Persons wishing to audit an Emmanuel advanced degree course must demonstrate academic qualification to take the course, ability to participate at an advanced level and have the permission of the instructor.

Courses that are audited will under no circumstance be assigned a grade nor will they be considered for credit. Instructors will not mark written work for auditors. Auditors may participate in class exercises and discussions at the discretion of the instructor.

Current Advanced Degree students should refer to section 7.9 of the TST PhD/ThD Handbook for auditing procedures.

 

BD Audit Application Process 

1. Complete the Online Audit Application.

2. Upon approval of your application, a confirmation email and fee invoice will be sent to you.

3. Once you receive your confirmation and invoice, pay your audit fee by cash or cheque in the Main Office, or online via Paypal (you do not need a Paypal account). If you wish to pay online, please inform the Main Office and they will send you the appropriate information. Alternatively, cheques can be mailed to:

Audit Cost

The fee for auditing is $250 per HF/HS course ($100 for seniors) and $500 per YY course ($200 for seniors). 

*Note: As of September 2013 the audit fees will be raised to $300 per HF/HS course ($150 for seniors) and $600 per YY ($300 for seniors). These new fees will apply to all courses being offered as of September 2013.

The fee for auditing is waived for students who are registered in a Toronto School of Theology course during the same session as the course you wish to audit. We regret that the audit fee cannot be waived for University of Toronto students, but only for Toronto School of Theology students.

Note

Registration to audit a course is not done through ROSI and course audits are not recorded on student transcripts.
